When Canonical unvieled its Ubuntu Edge concept phone on indiegogo a couple of years ago.Around one year ago - almost to date- we learned the canonical managed to wrangle  a couple of partners to help manufacture Ubuntu smart phones, meizu and BQ reader.since then we mostly heared was silience.BQ will able to say it that they lauched the firt ubuntu phone.Canonical mobile OS will be placed on BQ's Aquaris E4.5, taditionally amidrange smart phone.

BQ's aquaris E4.5 Specification

This is not the ubuntu pohone which promised to be a super phone that can morph from mobile to a desktop enviornment but the canonical - at least at this stage it will do.

Not only this will be the purchasable Ubuntu smart phone for now,but it will initially be sold through online flash sales, creating an air of urgency.and if u are thinking of buying it it is out of luck if u are out of europe.
